The Last of 2009! {Denver Maternity Photographer}

I can't believe it! This sweet family was my last maternity session of 2009. This year has been chalk full of expecting families. I've loved every second of it! I can't think of a more blessed, exciting, wonderful, miraculous time in a family's life together than waiting for and then the arrival of a new baby. Although my clients thank me for capturing this precious moment for them, I want to say "THANK YOU!" for letting me into your lives during this time. It blesses me more than you know!

Here is that sweet family:

Seriously? Can it get any better than this:

Thank you so much "M" family for sharing the excitement in the anticipation of your newest family member!

Cousins {Denver Maternity Photographer}

This session was very special to me. These are my sisters who get to share a precious moment in time together. They are six weeks apart in due dates and both will be having boys. I can't help but think of the strong bond that both Mommas and boys will have. I can't wait to meet each one of them! Tomorrow is the big day for the first little guy...Just wait until I get my hands on these boys, you thought you've seen a lot of newborn photos before!

Some from Momma number one's personal session:

It was so fun to have this special day with you!

Times Two {Denver Maternity Photographer}

These gorgeous parents to be:

Are growing their family:

Yup, you guessed it:

FOUR feet!

Yes, that is my cheesy way to say, that I had the privilege of photographing this couple a few months before they are going to meet their sweet baby twin girls. How exciting! The embarrassing part was that right before they got to the studio for their session, I hurt myself in a way that caused me to walk very slowly and with a slight waddle. Trust me, I was moving around more slowly and with a worse waddle than my client who is expecting TWINS. Thankfully, they were very gracious and patient with me as I hobbled, waddled, and moved around like a turtle.

Despite my clumsiness, we had a great time together. I just love meeting people at this stage in life, and sharing in their excitement for what's to come. What a special blessing to be a part of the makings of new families!

I also loved her attitude about getting her photos taken. She told me, she felt like nothing was off limits. She had her heart set on completely documenting this time in her life.

Love that.

My prayer for you, and your girls, is when they look back at these pictures, they can see how beautiful their momma was while she was pregnant with them, and know that she thought these moments were so special she just had to preserve the memory of it.

Forever.

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Beauty {Denver Maternity Photographer}

Breathtaking. That's all I have to say about this fun, expecting couple. OH, and I would also say patient. They were, oh, so very patient while I took them through mosquito infested fields to get some snaps of them in open space. I am hooked on the outdoor maternity look, and they went above and beyond to humor me. Seriously, we were getting eaten alive, and I could take no more of it. Can you believe instead of running to the car with me, they wanted to make sure I had gotten all the photos I wanted? It was so bad that when I realized I had left my lens cap behind, I didn't even care. I just left it. Amazingly enough, I found it again 4 days later!

I am so pleased with the way this session turned out, it was VERY difficult to narrow this down for a sneak peek, but I do want to keep some of them a surprise for just mom and dad. So here is just a snippet of my favs...

Remember that word I used before, "breathtaking"? Well, need I say more?

You guys were so fun! I sure hope you like your sneak peek! I can't wait to meet your little guy.

P.S. I hope your bites weren't too bad! Thanks for your sacrifice and patience!

Taking it Outdoors {Denver Maternity Photographer}

I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family of three for an outdoor Maternity Session. Up until this session, my maternity sessions have been indoor studio or lifestyle mainly because of privacy concerns. This momma-to-be loves outdoor photography, and thought it was special to be eight months pregnant during the summer months when she could capture this moment outdoors with her family. I was in love with the idea from the beginning. So, we found a semi-secluded area and had fun.

I loved that we not only had a maternity session outdoors, but also that we could turn a maternity session into a "time in life" session. I guess what I mean is that we weren't so focused on the belly. We focused more on the family that was on the brink of adding another person. A family that was enjoying their last few weeks of being a family of three. A family that was having fun anticipating what was to come. It was about more than just the belly, it was about those moments in time for this family. I feel like we captured those moments, and more, with this session. I hope you like them!

As a side note, this guy is going to be one awesome big brother. He was also probably the best behaved three and a half year old that I have ever met!

How sweet is this?

Thanks again "M" family! I hope you've enjoyed your sneak peek!

Rain, Rain Go Away {Denver Maternity Photographer}

I had the pleasure to meet a very fun family who is expecting their 3rd. The baby is a surprise! I don't know how people are able to wait until the day of delivery to find out if it is a boy or a girl. Let me tell you, this baby doesn't even belong to me, and I am dying to know! This family is so fun and so flexible that it suites them perfectly to have a surprise waiting for them on delivery day.

For this session, we did a little outdoor fun, and some studio fun. Let me rephrase that: We tired to do a little outdoor fun, but it was raining, so we did some indoor studio stuff, and then tried the outdoors again.

It rained pretty much each time we tried to get our outdoor portraits. Oh well, we made cute use of an umbrella.

Here is some fun family time inside:

Then trying outside:

After our last outdoor attempt, Dad took the kids home, and Mom came back to the studio with me, and we got serious. It was so nice of Dad to give Mom some time to herself, allowing her to really capture some precious memories.

I had such a blast with you "M" family! You all were such a riot! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game {Denver Event Photographer}

I had the pleasure of being able to photograph probably one of the most fun baby showers I have ever seen. Mom contacted me about doing her maternity photographs and then later had the idea of having candid pictures taken of the baby shower. It was so fun to see so many people show up to celebrate the anticipation of a new little boy. Everyone had a good time, some good eats, and good company.

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! I can't wait for your maternity session :-)

Life. {Denver Maternity Photographer}

This Mommy and Daddy to-be had a clear picture in their minds of what they wanted from their Maternity Session. They were not looking for backdrops, wraps, or props. They wanted to capture their life. The life they have been living since finding out they were going to become parents. They wanted to remember this time and these moments.

Forever.

You know I am all about that.

I LOVED this session from the time Mom-to-be called and told me what she wanted. I had such a fun time acting as a fly on the wall (with a camera) capturing this couple being themselves while they wait for baby.

Take a glimpse into their lives as they wait:

This is by far my favorite series:

 Although the sweetness here, is almost too much:

Thank you guys so much for letting me into your lives and sharing this time with you. I had so much fun! I can't wait to meet baby!

Mammas On Mother's Day {Denver Maternity Photographer}

Recently, I had the chance to photograph two close friends who were due only days apart. Since my own sisters are in the same boat, and I will be photographing them together as well, I thought this is PERFECT! If you have never gotten to share your pregnancy with either a close friend or relative, let me just tell you, it is a blessing. So, we got the two of them into my studio, and had some fun.

Right away we realized, if we were to get any work done at all, we just needed to be silly.

Check out these Charlie's Angels!

We did do some serious stuff too...

I think this might be my favorite of the two together.

Then each lady got to be on their own:

I had such a fun time with all of you in my studio! How wonderful that you got to share this precious time together, as well as sharing the same birth days! Blessings to your sweet new families.
