What's a Coffee Table Book?

This will be my 2nd attempt at doing some product explanation. I think the first time around (What's a Gallery Wrapped Canvas?) went well, and helped many people get a grasp for what was available to them, so we will give it a whirl again. Like the first time around, I am not trying to be a product photography pro, just trying to put some images to explanations :-). This time I will talk about the Coffee Table Book.

This is a hard-covered book that contains as many as 40 of your favorite images from one or more sessions. Sometimes people have a hard time choosing images, or would like to create a keepsake that covers a span of time. If that is you, this is the perfect way to do that without covering your walls with pictures like they're wallpaper :-). It is perfect for combining a Maternity and a Newborn session, or a Newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 1 year sessions. Maybe you've had a family session, and you like several of the family poses, as well as some of the candids and the individual shots of each child. This is a perfect fit for you! You can create these books out of the black and white images, the color images, or a combination of both. There are layout options that allow for text or no text, as well as pages that allow for full bleeds for the images (A full bleed is when the image fills the entire page without any borders.). The jacket is glossy and the pages are semi glossy as well as being heavy. The books sizes are either an 8x10 or 10x8... the perfect size to have on a table, and to view multiple images.

I really do love these books, and even though they take a while to create and receive, you won't be disappointed. They really are a family keepsake and heirloom of a blessed time in your lives. Moments of time captured forever in a hardcover book....that's the Coffee Table book!

Here's some (poor)product pics, in case you are like me and need to see something to get a better idea. This example is a 8x10 size.

The Front Cover:
Inside jacket flap with Pic and text:
Full bleed picture and text page:
Full bleed images only page (note multiple image layout):
Back of book jacket with image and floating text layout:
I hope that helps!

A Fall Family Session

I have been doing family sessions quite frequently these days, but this latest session is the first session that I can say that I am definitely seeing some fall colors! You know, we only have a few weeks (if we are lucky and get no snow, maybe a full month) of beautiful fall colors. I have several families that have been anxiously waiting the change, and I am glad to say...I think it's here!! This family came dressed for a fall session, and I think they got just that. What a fun session! Not only was I excited to work with such a great looking family, but I was so happy to see all the color! Check out the red leaves on the shot with Daddy and his girls! This location is quickly becoming my favorite, I can hardly wait to get back there next weekend!

I hope you guys enjoy your preview, and I hope that the shot of Daddy and his girls was just what you were thinking of, Mom. ;-)

Proud little Dude...and Missy Moo Too

As most of you know, we (hubby and I) affectionately call our little guy Dude. Well, Dude just doesn't like his picture taken...not one bit! He is full of 2 year old spunk, and I have more pictures of the back of his head than I'd like to admit. Today, when I attempted to get in a small session of Missy Moo, I was pleasantly surprised by the Dude. He was proud as a peacock in his new helmet (a hand-me-down from his sister), and said to me "Mommy, picture please." I could barely contain myself as my little boy posed like he's was born to model! I don't care if he has a helmet on...or that it's a girl helmet....or that it didn't fit....I'll take what I can get! Check out my little man in all his glory!

Of course I have one of the Moo

..and her "big muscles"

Little Baby Girl...A Newborn Session

This little girl was such a sweetie. Many moms want to have their newborn awake for the session so they can get their cute little eyes, and this little one was happy to oblige! Even though she was awake for most of the session, she was sweet as can be. She just kept following Mama's voice around and even cooed and smiled a bit...even though she's only 3 weeks! Check out those tiny little feet and then how she just tuckered out at the end...so cute! I had a great time at this laid back session, and hope to return to get big sister in on the act! Enjoy your sneak peek at Baby Girl!

Family + Birthday Session

I recently had a family and a birthday session. Here's another family that I just love...the little girl was also celebrating a birthday so we decided to do a combo session. It was at a local park that MANY photographers love so we had to compete for space. We still had no problem finding just the right spots and getting some great light! The little girl just LOVES to have her picture taken and it isn't hard to figure out why...she is beautiful and looks great in all her photos! I hope you enjoy your photos and Happy Birthday Miss S!

A Great Family Session!

Well, I could go on and on about this family, or make it short and sweet. I LOVE this family, and they were WONDERFUL to work with :-). The girls were so cooperative, and everyone looked FAB! Somehow we narrowly escaped thundershowers, and that left us with great lighting and a beautiful sky as a backdrop. I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I do, and J-dub, I hope this brightens your afternoon.

More FUN Maternity!

What a fun couple I got to share my time with this past Saturday. This couple was so cute, fun, and casual, I just had a blast with them! They both had such a great sense of humor, and you could tell they just were in love and loving where they were at in life. I just love being able to be apart and to share just a snip-it of people's lives when such excitement is looming and the anticipation of even more excitement is around the corner. This session was even more fun because we got to share it with their new puppy as well! To top it all off, they also had a really cool home so we were able to break free from the traditional studio style shots, and I was able to capture them in their natural setting just being who they are...FUN! Thanks so much for such a GREAT session, you really had me grinning all day! I can't wait to meet your new little addition. Enjoy your Sneak Peek!
