The Relaxed Approach {Denver Family Photographer}

It was round two for this family. After their baby brother was born, Mr. "N" and Mr. "W" came for a visit in the studio. It was a hard session for the boys having a brand new brother AND having to sit still for pictures. BORING!

Take two was so fun and so relaxed it was a breeze to get some really great images of these two little guys for their second birthday. Mom and dad even got some great family shots. BONUS! Being outdoors just changes everything. The kids are having fun, Mom and Dad are relaxed, we are all exploring life and the world around us, and their is no posing pressure. It's perfect for this age group.

Thanks Mom and Dad for being so cool and laid back! I love the way we can see your carefree style in all of these images.

Three's Company

Coming from a family of all girls, you could say that I was excited to go to this session. Three sisters. Maybe it's just me, but it sounds lovely. This session was mostly about celebrating the sisters, but I was able to sneak in a few of the whole family and then mom and dad together as well. We were really trying for a summery look even though we are in full on Fall right now. The clothing choices by mom were impeccable and the insistence of bare feet also helped this session feel like it was the end of summer. Because the fall colors are so pretty, I did sneak in a few beautiful trees into the backgrounds here and there. I was all about the color on this day!

Getting Back Into The Groove {Denver Family Photographer}

With the current baby boom taking place, it's been a while since I have had the chance to photograph families. I didn't realize how much I missed it. It is so special to meet families and be the one to capture their love for one another in photographs.

This session was too fun! The little guy was shy at first, but I think he really warmed up to me at the end. Either that or he just plain warmed up. It was close to the mid 80's that evening. Our weather has been so crazy this summer! I also had a chance to get some pictures of Mom and Dad. I love that.

This family was too cute, and I had a great time meeting with them and getting to be apart of their world.

Thanks "M" family!

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Hey Meester!

I had such a ball photographing this family. They were so casual and laid back. The oldest boy, Mr. C, was a riot, and kept me in stitches with all of his fun accents and one-liners. I have never been able to use an accent on a shoot before, and have it catch someones attention the way it caught Mr. C's. I just let this family play, and be themselves. Capturing these moments, in this time of their lives.

I was like a moth to a flame with these eyelashes! Boys get the BEST eyelashes!

Thanks you guys for such a fun time! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Contrast {Denver Family Photographer}

From the first email I got from the Mom of this family, she knew what she wanted. She wanted to see her family dressed to the nines. She wasn't sure how I could work with that, she just knew she wanted a very formally dressed family portrait. We tossed around ideas like open fields or urban city, but finally landed on a rustic setting. I LOVE the idea of contrast. Funky and classy, punk and preppy, dressy and rustic, they all work for me. Besides being so different, it adds so much interest to a photo. Needless to say, I was excited for this new location and a new way to look at things. I had a blast with this giggly family! Check them out:

One of my favs! I am LOVING the couple shots these days...Mostly, I am jealous I don't have one with my hubby.

Thanks for such a great time and all the non-stop giggles! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Outdoors Again! {Denver Family Photographer}

This past weekend, I found myself outdoors again. Oh, how I love being outdoors! It is just getting green, and trees are blooming. It is so fun to be free of the confines of the studio, and get a breath of fresh air!

I had a fun extended family session this past weekend. As a surprise for Mother's Day, one of the sons flew in from out of state for his mom! What a blessing for this family to be all together for Mother's Day! What a great time to get everyone together, and you know I LOVE the fact that they have portraits to remember the occasion.

Thanks everyone, and I hope you all enjoy your sneak peek!

I had to get this one in...This little girl was having so much fun twirling for me!

Mommy and Me Fun {Denver Family Photographer}

The Mommy and Me sessions were so fun! So fun, in fact, I will definitely be doing them again next year. So, if you missed out this year, no worries! We will see you next Mother's Day.

It was very special to see the kids get to do their one on ones with their mommies. They knew it was special too. You could tell by how relaxed and happy they would get when it was their turn.

I truly hope that these images will be treasured for a life time! Thanks so much everyone!

P.S. On a side note, I did decide to keep the photo pendant as a permanent item in my products offered. Now you can get your favorite image as a pendant anytime! Check out the link on the side bar that says "Current Products and Pricing" for more information.

Candid Family

I had such a fun time on this family session despite the frigid temps. I had gorgeous scenery and a gorgeous family, there was no going wrong on this one. The best part (for me, at least) was when I let the family just be them...The candid shots from this session really spoke to me. I even created a new finish for them. Check it out:

A Boy and His Ball

I had a great family session this past weekend with wonderful weather and gorgeous Fall colors. The family was one of my first Maternity/Newborn clients, and it was so great to see their little baby boy all grown into a sweet toddler. I loved watching his quiet, inquisitive nature as he explored the scenery, and all the location had to offer.

He did bring with him his favorite puppy, Sparky, and his baseball. They were rarely out of his sweet little hands. I have never seen a baseball bring so much happiness to a little boy. He sure loved that ball!

I had a great time with you guys on Saturday! I loved being able to see Mr. H. all grown up. He sure is sweet. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

I had to capture this moment when he set down his beloveds to tend to some important toddler work: Cleaning up and crumbling leaves.
