Cleaning Up and Kicking Back

If you didn't know already, I am currently "Out of Office" until January 3rd, 2010. I know that I had kind of mentioned it in a previous post, but I didn't officially let you all know. If you have been trying to contact me, I apologize for my slowness in returning correspondence. I will get back to you! Thanks so much for your patience.

During this time, I envisioned a few things to happen. First, I DESPERATELY need to clean house. By that I mean, I need to go through my hard drive and re-organize and delete. No worries, your proofs are still archived. Also, I am revamping the look of a few things including packaging, gift cards, and a few other surprises. Secondly, I am in dire need of rest. This time of year gets very busy, not just with Been Blessed, but also with my family. The time off is something that I both look forward too and get antsy in. However, I know, it's very necessary for my brain and my children. A friend of mine told me about a new little baby girl joining their family soon, and I couldn't help it, I was giddy from head to toe. Taking time off not only refreshes me, but reminds me how much I love what I do. Lastly, I use this time learning. Learning about the latest and greatest products, new techniques for shooting, and also new software.

The goal with all of this is to come into 2010 all fresh, excited, and ready to capture precious memories, and then turn them into works of art.

I can't wait to see all of you in 2010! Until then, have a very Merry Christmas, and an awesome New Year!

The Last of 2009! {Denver Maternity Photographer}

I can't believe it! This sweet family was my last maternity session of 2009. This year has been chalk full of expecting families. I've loved every second of it! I can't think of a more blessed, exciting, wonderful, miraculous time in a family's life together than waiting for and then the arrival of a new baby. Although my clients thank me for capturing this precious moment for them, I want to say "THANK YOU!" for letting me into your lives during this time. It blesses me more than you know!

Here is that sweet family:

Seriously? Can it get any better than this:

Thank you so much "M" family for sharing the excitement in the anticipation of your newest family member!

2009 Clients!

Hello my lovely 2009 clients! If you have seen this message already on Facebook, then I apologize for the repeat performance here, but for those that may have missed it over there, here it is again...over here.

If you had a session with me this past year, and you would like to give a photo as a gift (and actually have it under the Christmas tree on Christmas day), 1). You are BRILLIANT! Seriously, there is no better gift than photographs. 2). You will need to have your order into me no later than December 11th. 3) Please let me know if you would like to give a gift certificate as a gift (again, what a BRILLIANT and THOUGHTFUL idea!). This is a gift that not only keeps on giving as it is looked upon and treasured for years to come, but also one that cannot be bought on just any store shelf!

As many of you know I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE families, and the blessing that they are to each of us. That includes my own ;-) . Each year I try to take time off during the Christmas season to soak each one of them in. After December 11th, I will not be placing any more orders, and after the 19th, the studio is closed down until the new year. Not only is it a time for me to take in this precious time of year with my loved ones, but it is also a time for my brain to relax and recharge for the new year ahead.

I can hardly wait to see each of you next year, and see how your kids (and maybe your family itself) have grown. There really is something so precious and dear to me about the privilege of doing just that.

I am so thankful that you have allowed me into your lives to capture your special memories! I pray that this Christmas season you are able to continue to fill your hearts with beautiful, life long memories and moments.

Brother {Denver Newborn Photographer}

I was so happy to photograph this family. They just added a brother to the mix, and couldn't be happier. Baby sister is very protective, and really wanted to make sure that it was warm enough for her brother to be without his clothes (how cute is that?!). Big sister just can't stop smiling at him. I am so happy that I was able to capture this special time for this family as they add a brother to the mix. Thank you guys so much for sharing your new little man with me!

She's all smiles!

I was so happy that mom loves the back wrinkles as much as I do.

Blue Eyed Beauty {Denver Baby Photographer}

I am so thankful that I got to meet this blue eyed beauty. She came to my studio for a late session, and was a very tired baby. She was tired, but not too sleepy! We had plenty of opportunity to get lots of photos of her beautiful big blue eyes. They were like deep pools. So gorgeous! Finally, at the end, she was just too tuckered out to hold those beauties open even one second longer. We let her snuggle up with her cozy blanket and get some sleepy shots too.

It was so fun meeting you guys! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

A new fav of mine:

Seriously, I could just eat her up with a little sugar on top.

Brother came for a couple of shots too!

Snuggly Boy {Denver Baby Photographer}

Just when I thought I would never get to meet him, his Momma emailed me! Sometimes it just happens. I will do maternity portraits for someone, but then once baby gets here I don't get a chance to meet them. It's a super bummer. I was sad when I thought this was one that I wouldn't get to meet.

But then!

I found out Momma and baby had a bit of a rough start, however, now they were ready to come and see me. I was so happy! He was such a cutie. A baby you just wanted to snuggle.

Take a look:

My personal fav from the session:

Thanks for coming to see me! I loved meeting you baby "C"!

Blessing {Denver Newborn Photographer}

This baby boy has blessed his new family, and was a blessing to me during his shoot. I loved his hair, his curly legs, and I love him. I am thankful that I was able to capture him at such an early age.

Thank you for this sweet little nephew.

Two, Dos, Deux {Denver Newborn Photographer}

I went from twin two year old boys to twin newborn girls in one week. These beauties and I spent the afternoon together recently. When one would sleep the other would cry. Then they would switch. I guess that's how it is with twins!

The sweetest thing ever is that when we put them together, they calmed down. They needed each other. They know each other. They already love each other.

I guess that's how it is with twins.

Calming one another:

I love that I caught a smile:

Thanks so much "G" Family! I loved meeting your sweet girls...and Tucker too! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

The Relaxed Approach {Denver Family Photographer}

It was round two for this family. After their baby brother was born, Mr. "N" and Mr. "W" came for a visit in the studio. It was a hard session for the boys having a brand new brother AND having to sit still for pictures. BORING!

Take two was so fun and so relaxed it was a breeze to get some really great images of these two little guys for their second birthday. Mom and dad even got some great family shots. BONUS! Being outdoors just changes everything. The kids are having fun, Mom and Dad are relaxed, we are all exploring life and the world around us, and their is no posing pressure. It's perfect for this age group.

Thanks Mom and Dad for being so cool and laid back! I love the way we can see your carefree style in all of these images.

Three's Company

Coming from a family of all girls, you could say that I was excited to go to this session. Three sisters. Maybe it's just me, but it sounds lovely. This session was mostly about celebrating the sisters, but I was able to sneak in a few of the whole family and then mom and dad together as well. We were really trying for a summery look even though we are in full on Fall right now. The clothing choices by mom were impeccable and the insistence of bare feet also helped this session feel like it was the end of summer. Because the fall colors are so pretty, I did sneak in a few beautiful trees into the backgrounds here and there. I was all about the color on this day!

Despite canceling and rescheduling due to weather, I hope you think we were able to achieve "The Look" you were wanting. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Secure {Denver Couples Photographer}

After 40 plus years, this couple is still deeply in love. I know because they are my in-laws. We are so blessed that God has given them to us as such a great example. I am also so happy that we have these pictures. I know that the pictures make them happy, but they also make their kids (and kids-in-law) happy, and you should see the way my kids look at them. It feels good to see the people you love love one another. It's warm, it's happy, and it's secure. This session was given to them as a gift from their daughter. It not only is a gift to them, but a gift to all of us.

Check out the happy couple:

Do you have any pictures of yourself and your spouse? I mean besides your wedding pictures. Pictures that show your love for one another. These pictures will not only speak to you, but to your kids, grandkids, and for many generations to come. Don't let feeling insecure about your appearance, fear of awkwardness in front of the camera, time, or whatever type of excuse you have stop you. These images are a true family treasure.

Half Way Through {Denver Baby Photographer}

Sweet little Kaitlyn is half way through her first year. I have had the pleasure of working with her and her family before she was even here. It's so amazing to watch these little people grow and change. I can't believe it's only been three months since I saw her last, and already she can hold things with her hands, and can sit unsupported! She's a strong little girl. I can't wait to see what her whole first year will look like all laid out together in one book.

Each session in the Blessed Year plan focuses on milestones of that age, so this time around we played with toys and sat up in pretty couches and on the floor. We also tried coaxing out that ever developing personality. Kaitlyn is one mild child. Super easy to work with and calm. I don't know if her mommy would say the same, but she was a dream for me ;-) .

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

I hear sleigh bells when I look at this image:

Happy Fall!

There are those bells again:
