Beauty {Denver Maternity Photographer}

Breathtaking. That's all I have to say about this fun, expecting couple. OH, and I would also say patient. They were, oh, so very patient while I took them through mosquito infested fields to get some snaps of them in open space. I am hooked on the outdoor maternity look, and they went above and beyond to humor me. Seriously, we were getting eaten alive, and I could take no more of it. Can you believe instead of running to the car with me, they wanted to make sure I had gotten all the photos I wanted? It was so bad that when I realized I had left my lens cap behind, I didn't even care. I just left it. Amazingly enough, I found it again 4 days later!

I am so pleased with the way this session turned out, it was VERY difficult to narrow this down for a sneak peek, but I do want to keep some of them a surprise for just mom and dad. So here is just a snippet of my favs...

Remember that word I used before, "breathtaking"? Well, need I say more?

You guys were so fun! I sure hope you like your sneak peek! I can't wait to meet your little guy.

P.S. I hope your bites weren't too bad! Thanks for your sacrifice and patience!

Taking it Outdoors {Denver Maternity Photographer}

I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family of three for an outdoor Maternity Session. Up until this session, my maternity sessions have been indoor studio or lifestyle mainly because of privacy concerns. This momma-to-be loves outdoor photography, and thought it was special to be eight months pregnant during the summer months when she could capture this moment outdoors with her family. I was in love with the idea from the beginning. So, we found a semi-secluded area and had fun.

I loved that we not only had a maternity session outdoors, but also that we could turn a maternity session into a "time in life" session. I guess what I mean is that we weren't so focused on the belly. We focused more on the family that was on the brink of adding another person. A family that was enjoying their last few weeks of being a family of three. A family that was having fun anticipating what was to come. It was about more than just the belly, it was about those moments in time for this family. I feel like we captured those moments, and more, with this session. I hope you like them!

As a side note, this guy is going to be one awesome big brother. He was also probably the best behaved three and a half year old that I have ever met!

How sweet is this?

Thanks again "M" family! I hope you've enjoyed your sneak peek!

Rain, Rain Go Away {Denver Maternity Photographer}

I had the pleasure to meet a very fun family who is expecting their 3rd. The baby is a surprise! I don't know how people are able to wait until the day of delivery to find out if it is a boy or a girl. Let me tell you, this baby doesn't even belong to me, and I am dying to know! This family is so fun and so flexible that it suites them perfectly to have a surprise waiting for them on delivery day.

For this session, we did a little outdoor fun, and some studio fun. Let me rephrase that: We tired to do a little outdoor fun, but it was raining, so we did some indoor studio stuff, and then tried the outdoors again.

It rained pretty much each time we tried to get our outdoor portraits. Oh well, we made cute use of an umbrella.

Here is some fun family time inside:

Then trying outside:

After our last outdoor attempt, Dad took the kids home, and Mom came back to the studio with me, and we got serious. It was so nice of Dad to give Mom some time to herself, allowing her to really capture some precious memories.

I had such a blast with you "M" family! You all were such a riot! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Milestone Moments {Denver Baby Photographer}

I love watching babies grow. That first year of life is chalk full of milestones. Smiling, sitting, standing, and sometimes walking. Add to that, the development of personality, and there is so much that shouldn't go missed. Baby's first year is important and special.

I was so happy to see this smiling sweet face this past weekend. Alert and happy, Miss K was ready to be a star! She's three months now, which means I got to listen to her sing and coo. I had a ball coaxing out her sweet little smile. I can't wait to see her in three short months. Those months will fly by for me and I will barely remember a single day, but for little Miss K, she will grow and learn some amazing things. Milestone Moments that we will capture forever.

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! I can't wait to see you guys again in three months!
