Mommy and Me Fun {Denver Family Photographer}

The Mommy and Me sessions were so fun! So fun, in fact, I will definitely be doing them again next year. So, if you missed out this year, no worries! We will see you next Mother's Day.

It was very special to see the kids get to do their one on ones with their mommies. They knew it was special too. You could tell by how relaxed and happy they would get when it was their turn.

I truly hope that these images will be treasured for a life time! Thanks so much everyone!

P.S. On a side note, I did decide to keep the photo pendant as a permanent item in my products offered. Now you can get your favorite image as a pendant anytime! Check out the link on the side bar that says "Current Products and Pricing" for more information.

Christmas Portrait Coutdown

As we are midway through November, I came to the realization of two things: 1. I only have 3 weeks left for Christmas portrait orders to be placed, and 2. I know there are people out there that may still be looking for a session where they can use the portraits in either a Christmas card or to give as a gift.

I have actually already talked to some of you!

Your in luck!

I am going to do something I have never done before, but I think will be a big hit, and spots will fill up fast. I am going to set up a few days in the next coming weeks (until December 5th), for clients to have a studio session. This session will be about 30 minutes in length and you should get about 10 proofs. Here comes the cool part: My session fee will be slashed to only $50! One hundred percent of that $50 still goes towards print purchases. Wait, there's more! (Now I am sounding very infomercial-ish.) You may use your $50 print credit towards the purchase of your digital images!

I know!

I have never sold my digital images before, but as a Christmas gift to you, I am going to sell the images of these Christmas mini-sessions. That means you will get all your proofs, at full resolution, to print off for your very own.

I think this would be great for people who want to include a picture in their Christmas/Holiday cards this year, or for anyone looking to give portraits as gifts to several family members this season.

Of course, if you are looking for that high-quality professional print of your favorite image from your session, to go up on your wall, you can always use your print credit for that too. Think of your print credit as a gift certificate to use however you would like.

Please contact me quickly because I am only opening up a hand full of these Christmas Mini-Sessions. You can reach me two ways: Leave a comment here on this post, or you can go to www.beenblessedmaternity.com and then choose the Contact page.

I can't wait to see you!

Merry Christmas!

P.S. Don't forget to bring fun props to make your photos stand out. I love seeing crazy hats, scarves, Christmas PJ's, or anything else different!

News and Info For You!

From September through December each year, photographers around the country go crazy! It's the busy season, and I thought I wold update everyone on where I stand as far as pricing, availability, and cut off dates for ordering. Also, I have some fun new stuff I want to share with you too!

First, I have 3 holiday/family sessions left for this season! They are all in November so if you are interested, please either email me via the contact page at www.beenblessedmaternity.com (have mercy that site needs updating, pardon my laziness on that end), or leave a comment at the end of this post. I would love to meet with you and your family in order to capture this special time of year. If you are expecting a new blessing or have just been blessed with a new baby, please contact me as soon as you can. I set aside special time in my calendar for those types of shoots!

If you are wanting to send out Christmas cards with an image from your session, or would like to have pictures in time for the holidays, the cut off for orders is December 5th. I know that sounds like eons away, but it really is just around the corner. YIKES!

As mentioned above, my website is officially archaic in the sense that it hasn't been updated in over a year...that's a whole other post. With that though, there have been some changes to products and pricing starting this past August.

First the fun stuff. I have switched vendors for my coffee table book and also have teamed up with another photographer to create custom designed pages for these books. They are now a 10x10, hinged page (this means they lay completely flat when opened), and you have the choice between a leather, fabric, or photo cover (all hardback). These coffee table books are a great way to be able to walk away from a session with all of your images, with out having to think about where you will hang everything on your walls. They are great for the Maternity/Newborn sessions or for the 1 Year Plan. Also, they work great for single sessions where there are a lot of images such as family sessions or Senior sessions. Really, everyone should have a coffee table book...they are just that great!

Also, I have put together a system that allows me to show you how to design your walls with your new portraits. Many times clients will tell me that they are so happy with images, but they just don't know where to display them or how to arrange them. I can help! Now, with your proof book, you will see a few wall displays put together for you, complete with image size, arrangement, AND I will use the images from your session to show you what it looks like. HOW COOL IS THAT!! Here's a sample of what I'm talking about...

My clients so far have loved them! I have loved them! Let me know how I can help you arrange your walls so that you can display your blessings beautifully.

Lastly, pricing. First, I am now charging a session fee. I know, I know! You are thinking, "Yuck!" Here's the good news: 100% of your session fee goes towards your prints as a print credit! (See that wasn't so bad.) Session fees are $150 for a single session or $225 for a Maternity/Newborn. They are due at the beginning of your session. If you are interested in a 1 Year Plan, we'll discuss pricing because everyone has different ideas as to what they consider milestone moments that first year of life, and I am all about flexibility. Also, I am now offering packaging. With these packages, you can mix and match images or you can choose all of the same images. It's your choice, and you'll save money by ordering your images as a package! Click on the sidebar for packaging info and pricing. If you don't see a package that suites your tastes/needs, no worries! I still offer prints al la carte. Prints start at $20. Check the Side bar for more detailed pricing.

WHEW! I think that's it! If you made it this far, congratulations and thank you! You are officially updated. :) I hope to see you all soon!

What's a Coffee Table Book?

This will be my 2nd attempt at doing some product explanation. I think the first time around (What's a Gallery Wrapped Canvas?) went well, and helped many people get a grasp for what was available to them, so we will give it a whirl again. Like the first time around, I am not trying to be a product photography pro, just trying to put some images to explanations :-). This time I will talk about the Coffee Table Book.

This is a hard-covered book that contains as many as 40 of your favorite images from one or more sessions. Sometimes people have a hard time choosing images, or would like to create a keepsake that covers a span of time. If that is you, this is the perfect way to do that without covering your walls with pictures like they're wallpaper :-). It is perfect for combining a Maternity and a Newborn session, or a Newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 1 year sessions. Maybe you've had a family session, and you like several of the family poses, as well as some of the candids and the individual shots of each child. This is a perfect fit for you! You can create these books out of the black and white images, the color images, or a combination of both. There are layout options that allow for text or no text, as well as pages that allow for full bleeds for the images (A full bleed is when the image fills the entire page without any borders.). The jacket is glossy and the pages are semi glossy as well as being heavy. The books sizes are either an 8x10 or 10x8... the perfect size to have on a table, and to view multiple images.

I really do love these books, and even though they take a while to create and receive, you won't be disappointed. They really are a family keepsake and heirloom of a blessed time in your lives. Moments of time captured forever in a hardcover book....that's the Coffee Table book!

Here's some (poor)product pics, in case you are like me and need to see something to get a better idea. This example is a 8x10 size.

Full bleed picture and text page:
Full bleed images only page (note multiple image layout):

I hope that helps!

THEY'RE HERE! IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME!!

I am soooo excited to announce Been Blessed Christmas card line up is ready! There are 12 designs in all separated into 2 collections: the Cozy Christmas Collection and the Classy Christmas Collection. Both collections print at a 5x7 size ensuring that the image you choose for the card is going to stand out! If you desire an even more personal touch, you can change the wording to match your style at no extra charge! They are sold in bundles of 20 for $45.

The Cozy Collection is just that...cozy! It is your traditional Christmas look using the traditional colors of red and green in each design. These are little more fun and casual than your normal Christmas card, and to make them even better they are completely you when you add your favorite Been Blessed image to them!

The Classy Collection is pure class using only red, black and white. Clean and simple or elegant and pretty, either way you can't lose with this collection. Each and every one will be a stand out! Adding your own lovely image from your Been Blessed session, just puts the icing on the cake.

I hope everyone enjoys these cards as much as I did designing them! I think I could have gone on and on forever with creating these, but had to remind myself..."there will be other Christmases" I also have to thank two great families for allowing me to use their photos as sample photos for these cards! THANK YOU!!! You guys are awesome! (don't you just love all the aliases I used for you) **wink**

What's a Gallery Wrapped Canvas??

So I thought I would create this entry specifically to answer this question. I just so happen to have gotten my 2nd one today! I LOVE these and wished that it wouldn't look weird or completely vain to plaster these all over my home! A gallery wrapped canvas is your favorite Been Blessed image transferred to a canvas (16x20 in this case). The image is actually bigger than the frame so that's where the wrapped part comes into play. They take the image and wrap it around 1 1/2 inch stretchers so the image actually flows off the front of the portrait. This type of portrait needs no glass or frame and can either lean against a wall on a mantle or shelf, use an easel, or hang like a traditional framed portrait would. I just adore the way they look and highly recommend them for your favorite portraits. Here are some pictures of what mine looks like....(please no grading on the product photography...obviously not my forte).

Oh, and Thank you Angela for the beautiful family portraits!
I hope that answers any questions about what a Gallery Wrapped Canvas is!
