Wrapping Up 2008

I have one more session, my last session of 2008, to post before I start talking business again for the new year. This last session was too fun. It (the session) was a gift to the little girl for Christmas. Mom and dad wanted to give their girl a day to be a model, have multiple wardrobe changes, and basically have fun without having to share the attention with anyone. Well, she sure got her wish. At the beginning she was a bit shy, but once she warmed up, she worked it! Boy, she giggled almost the whole time she was with me. I even asked for a serious face a couple of times, but she couldn't stop giggling long enough to make one (I think I caught her off guard a couple of times and caught that serious look....I am a sucker for the serious). I sure had fun making you feel like a star, Miss O! Enjoy your sneak peek!

A little fan action...

Sibling and Birthday Shoot

One of my most favorite clients came to visit me today! She visits me a few times a year, and I miss her so when she's been away for too long. The reason for today's visit? She's turning two and she brought her big sister with her. Big sister was such a great help with helping her to feel comfortable. We did some fun sibling portraits, and even brought in her favorite stuffed monkey for a few pictures. After that, we got her all dolled up in a cute dress and did her birthday portraits. She is such a cutie, I don't think she could take a bad picture if she tried!

Thanks for such a great session today! I had fun catching up with you and helping you celebrate the start of your second year. Also, thank you big sister for being such a BIG help :-) ! Enjoy your sneak peek:

Blue is One!

You might remember Mr. Blue Eyes from last year. I can't believe he's ONE now! He's just as cute as ever. He came to visit me and have a shoot to celebrate...OK he could've been here to celebrate Thanksgiving as well. A girl can dream though!

Acting a bit shy...

Yummy eyelashes...

Some smiles...

Birthday boy...

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! Thanks for coming to visit!

A CU Fan

These portraits were done during my Christmas special a few weeks back. They are a gift for their daddy who is a HUGE fan of CU. I thought they made some pretty cute sibling portraits as well. Thanks for such a fun time! I hope daddy loves them!

Finally!

Just a quick FYI...My website has FINALLY been updated! After 2 years, I thought it might be a little overdue.

Just a little.

So yea, the galleries are all new, and my info on what to expect during a session and pricing have been redone. Yup, I am still finding new typos, like everyday, but I'll get all the kinks out eventually.

Then it will be time to update again.

Check it out www.beenblessedmaternity.com !

Thanks to all my 2008 clients who helped me to build my new beautiful galleries! I loved working with each of you.

Christmas Portrait Coutdown

As we are midway through November, I came to the realization of two things: 1. I only have 3 weeks left for Christmas portrait orders to be placed, and 2. I know there are people out there that may still be looking for a session where they can use the portraits in either a Christmas card or to give as a gift.

I have actually already talked to some of you!

Your in luck!

I am going to do something I have never done before, but I think will be a big hit, and spots will fill up fast. I am going to set up a few days in the next coming weeks (until December 5th), for clients to have a studio session. This session will be about 30 minutes in length and you should get about 10 proofs. Here comes the cool part: My session fee will be slashed to only $50! One hundred percent of that $50 still goes towards print purchases. Wait, there's more! (Now I am sounding very infomercial-ish.) You may use your $50 print credit towards the purchase of your digital images!

I know!

I have never sold my digital images before, but as a Christmas gift to you, I am going to sell the images of these Christmas mini-sessions. That means you will get all your proofs, at full resolution, to print off for your very own.

I think this would be great for people who want to include a picture in their Christmas/Holiday cards this year, or for anyone looking to give portraits as gifts to several family members this season.

Of course, if you are looking for that high-quality professional print of your favorite image from your session, to go up on your wall, you can always use your print credit for that too. Think of your print credit as a gift certificate to use however you would like.

Please contact me quickly because I am only opening up a hand full of these Christmas Mini-Sessions. You can reach me two ways: Leave a comment here on this post, or you can go to www.beenblessedmaternity.com and then choose the Contact page.

I can't wait to see you!

Merry Christmas!

P.S. Don't forget to bring fun props to make your photos stand out. I love seeing crazy hats, scarves, Christmas PJ's, or anything else different!

Sisters

I am loving sessions done in my in-home studio. They are so fun, clean, and simple. They seem to really be able to allow us to get true personalities to shine through. Especially, for older kids. These two sisters were very fun. The younger sister LOVES having her picture taken. At one point, I laughed out loud when she commented that she felt like she should, "Be getting paid for this." Her pictures were great, but this session was pro-bono. Maybe she has a knack for some future modeling? She really liked it when we pulled out the fans. I think the older sister did too...she seemed very comfortable. Regardless, this session was a blast! Thanks ladies!

Candid Family

I had such a fun time on this family session despite the frigid temps. I had gorgeous scenery and a gorgeous family, there was no going wrong on this one. The best part (for me, at least) was when I let the family just be them...The candid shots from this session really spoke to me. I even created a new finish for them. Check it out:

First up: A posed family shot with GORGEOUS scenery (this is my "Classic Color" treatment):

A Boy and His Ball

I had a great family session this past weekend with wonderful weather and gorgeous Fall colors. The family was one of my first Maternity/Newborn clients, and it was so great to see their little baby boy all grown into a sweet toddler. I loved watching his quiet, inquisitive nature as he explored the scenery, and all the location had to offer.

He did bring with him his favorite puppy, Sparky, and his baseball. They were rarely out of his sweet little hands. I have never seen a baseball bring so much happiness to a little boy. He sure loved that ball!

I had a great time with you guys on Saturday! I loved being able to see Mr. H. all grown up. He sure is sweet. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

I had to capture this moment when he set down his beloveds to tend to some important toddler work: Cleaning up and crumbling leaves.

Muy Caliente!

I had the chance to do something very different than anything I have done before. This couple wanted a session that captured their love for one another. They wanted something that wasn't from their wedding day, something fun but professional, and it needed to show how much they loved one another. It was a tall order, but it was so fun, and well worth it. I'm so jealous. I want pictures like this with my hubby! Something that sparks a fire each time I look at them.

Admittedly, this shoot was a bit nerve wrecking at first, for both parties involved. After we got going, though, it was hard to stop. This couple was specifically looking for black and white portraits, but I think some of the color was too good to miss.

I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek! This session was too much fun!
